Medieval Knights

2005 January __ Raid

Before you send tells to guild officers, who are busy trying to do the million things necessary to prepare for this raid, including scouting and other forms of organization, please read and follow the instructions below.

1. GET TEAMSPEAK
This is software that will allow you to hear Nik and the other officers give instructions before and during the battle. We use this software to increase efficiency.
(a) Get TeamSpeak free at http://www.goteamspeak.com
(b) Install it
(c) Use "settings --> sound input/output settings"
Make sure "push to talk" is selected NOT voice activation
(d) Use "connect --> quick connect"
Type in IP address: 209.67.216.42:8749
Put your character name in the "nickname" spot
Password is "knight" (all lowercase)
Note: Only officers are using it to TALK. You use it to LISTEN ONLY.
It works great along with your WoW and you will still hear the sounds of WoW.

2. REDUCE YOUR GRAPHICS RESOLUTION
In large battles where there are tons of players and spell effects on the screen at any given time, your computer may lag. If you want the best performance during PvP battle and you can't afford to buy the juciest new video card, try this:
Go into WoW "video settings"
(a) reduce resolution numbers
(b) go down to the bottom where all the visual effects are. Turn some or all of them off.
Note: Lag can also occur from poor bandwidth, sometimes, even on cable modems. I know that from time to time I reset (pull the plug and wait 2 minutes and plug it back in) my cable modem and it makes a big difference.

3. MEET UP - all in Central Standard Time
Menethil Harbor 8:30pm to 8:45pm - from there we are taking a ship or running or whatever... this is the part where I'm sure things will change each time.
THE PLAN:
... will be revealed via Teamspeak once everyone meets up and is ready to move on to the next stage.
